Kodiak NWR Kodiak Island: Biology volunteers May 20-August 30, 2010. Working long hours in remote, rugged, inclement conditions, volunteer will assist KNWR staff in monitoring Kodiak brown bear activity. Must be enrolled in biology or related program with junior or better standing. Must be capable of strenuous physical activity and maintaining positive attitude and work relationships in back country setting. Preferred skills: experience living/camping/hiking/working in bear country, GPS (Trimble), ARCS GIS, MS Access.
